Here’s what past Chapter Championship participants have to say:
Playing on a Scramble Team is a great way to experience the Chapter Championship! The team camarderie both lessens the individual pressure and enhances the drive to go for it! I learned so much from my team mates and we became great friends, and our goal was always to WIN!
Valerie Klosterman
Playing in the Chapter Championship was fun as all golf events are for me. I didn't look at it as a competition, but simply as a chance to play a good course. Luckily I won and went on to the Florida Sectionals and again.. I won. This enabled me to go to Arizona and play with ladies from all over the United States. I can't wait to play again this year and hopefully I will get lucky again!
Mo White
"The first year I played in the Championship, my handicap was 39. Winning wasn't even on my radar screen. But I was competing with women of my same playing ability, and I won!! I went on to the Sectionals and then the Nationals. That was 3 and a half years ago and I've played every year since. I’ve learned so much about the game and myself. The women I’ve met have really enriched my life. Who knew a game could do so much. So, the moral of the story is to play, play, play!"
Maggie Sanders
“Taking the Rules Seminar really helped me in playing in the EWGA Championship. It was a lot of fun to compete even though I failed to take first place. I am glad I had the experience and want to be able to play again this year.”
Faith Matous
“Playing on an EWGA Scramble Team is exhilarating and fun, but I especially enjoy the close friendships that are made along the way.”
Cindy Chapman
3-time EWGA Scramble Team Captain
“Since joining EWGA as a new golfer seven years ago, I’ve always looked forward to the Chapter Championship. I’ve played every year except one when I had to be out of the country for work. In my first year as a fourth flight golfer, I went all the way to Nationals.”
